About Jo (me!)

I'm Joanne West. I'm an independent funeral celebrant based in Thatcham, West Berkshire.  

I have spent more than twenty years in communications, helping organisations tell their stories to customers and colleagues. Now I bring that knowledge, experience and care to families in need.

I lost my dearest Dad suddenly, without warning.  It was the worst day of my life.  

The celebrant allocated to us was nothing short of amazing. He did lots of little things that made an unbearable day possible to get through. I will never forget him. I don't think I'll ever stop being grateful.

Now it's my turn to pass that on. I understand, sadly, from the inside, what that day feels like. It's a privilege to use my experience for good. I help families across Newbury, Thatcham, Reading and Hampshire.  I've qualified. I've started taking services. And I simply want to help as many people as I can.
